Every year I take the opportunity of the New Year to sit down and think about the next 12 months and what might be the key influences / trends that may/will potentially impact the Uk Craft Spirits Market. Whilst this is an independent thought process it is obviously impacted by all I have read and seen in the last 12 months. This forecast paper is separate from my Monthly Market Intelligence document though of course informed by it.
I find the thought process useful and it typically informs many of the conversations re strategy I have with brands through out the year.
This year I have focused on SEVEN broad Key UK Craft Spirit Trends / Strategies for 2026.
1. Difficult market conditions will continue
2. Strong craft spirit brands will double down on values and premiumisation
3. To grow focus on Exports
4. Travel retail is increasingly open to craft spirits.
5. RTDs and Liqueurs will remain a bright spot of growth.
6. Low- No Alcohol should be part of every craft brands offer.
7. New Whisky regions including England will continue their rise
